On January 27, 2026, Mr. Xu Guojun, Chairman of Smart Shams, attended the land signing ceremony held by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) in the Third Industrial City of Jeddah. His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, was present at the event and jointly signed the contract. This milestone marks the official entry of Smart Shams' industrial layout in Saudi Arabia into the substantive implementation phase.

The newly signed Smart Shams factory, as the brand's first smart manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, is planned to occupy an area of approximately 226,000 square meters. The first phase of the project aims to build a production capacity of 5 GW for photovoltaic modules. Upon completion, the factory will serve as a key local photovoltaic manufacturing base, injecting strong momentum into the country's energy transition and industrial diversification efforts.
